INSURANCE APPRAISALS

Be prepared in the event of loss from fire, flood, or theft. Help protect your investment by scheduling your valuable art and antiques on your insurance policy. We will create a detailed appraisal report, maintaining a copy in our office in the event of the loss or destruction of your original records. We also facilitate the settlement of claims.

ESTATE APPRAISALS

Appraisals are necessary for probate when the estate needs a cost basis for federal tax purposes or for equitable distribution to beneficiaries.

DONATION APPRAISALS

Appraisals are required by the Internal Revenue Service when a donation of one or more like items is worth more than $5,000.

RESEARCH, CATALOGING AND MARKETING CONSULTATION

Comprehensive services include research and photography of your art and antiques, inventory and report preparation for appraisal or publication purposes. We will research single items or entire collections or conduct research for authentication purposes. We have expertise in a wide range of areas from old master painting, prints and drawings to Americana to California plein air paintings.

We provide consultation on prospective purchases such as previewing auctions for clients or advice on distribution or marketing alternatives.

We are available for presentations on many aspects of appraising and collecting art and antiques, connoisseurship of antique furniture and oriental rugs. We also offer presentations on several historic preservation topics.

Visit France with your personal French speaking guide. Buy antiques, visit auctions, flea markets, galleries and museums. We also offer local historic district tours in association with Historic San Diego.

We conduct historic site research and offer consultation relating to period appropriate furnishings of historic interiors.
